The Smokehouse Kitchen: Cooking Up A Storm For Christmas

Back in March of this year, when Ian Dickson’s wedding catering business was on it’s knees because of the Covid-19 pandemic, he and his chef, Andrew Ward, made the decision to diversify their business plan and decided to set up The Smokehouse Kitchen.

Over the last few years, they have dabbled with smoking produce and have now perfected their subtle smokey flavours of oak and mesquite.

The pair went from catering for around 150 weddings per year to having too much time on their hands, so it seemed like the perfect moment to get The Smokehouse Kitchen started.

In August of this year, they opened their unit on Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, and started selling their smoked goods to the public and haven’t looked back since!

The Smokehouse Kitchen sells a variety of smoked meats, fish and cheeses, and sell an assortment of freshly baked goods on site.

Their Christmas range is now available in-store and on their website, with turkey crowns, pigs in blankets, and hams available to pre-order for the big day. They also sell Christmas hampers packed to the brim with Smokehouse goodies and can prepare sharing boxes for loved ones, or for special occasions, with gift vouchers available as well.

Everything is freshly prepared and packed and can be delivered throughout the UK.

“We pride ourselves on only using the finest quality, locally sourced produce and have our own in—house chef who prepares everything on site,” says Ian.
