Pretty Cactus Plants Wins Plant Retailer of the Year Award

On April 7th, Prestige Awards named Pretty Cactus Plants the winner of the London & South East Plant Retailer of the Year. The award recognises owner, Donna, and her team from their consistent attentiveness and commitment to going over and above for their clients. 

“The judges were impressed with [the Pretty Cactus Plants teams’] personal touch, consistency of reviews and overall attentiveness,” said Rocky Shing at Prestige Awards. “You seem to go over and above for your clients, and I hope this achievement brings more success in 2021.” 

“It is an honour to have won the award for Plant Retailer of the Year 2020/21. To have been recognised as one of the leading plant retailers in the UK is amazing. Every small, independent in the last year has worked so hard to survive through a global pandemic and numerous lockdowns and closures of non-essential retail shops in the UK. To have won an award during this period is a massive recognition for Pretty Cactus Plants.

In lieu of in-person celebration, acknowledgement of their win will be published in the London and South East England Prestige Guide and circulated throughout London and the surrounding regions in both print and digital formats. Prestige Awards has run both national and international recognition programs for over 16 years and chose to highlight smaller independent business that were extremely successful on the local level for the 2020 year.

Donna had always been a plant lover, spending hours in the garden centres stores picking up sad old plants to nurse them back to health. The homegrown plants were sold at country fayres and craft markets, but before long, Donna was so busy she decided to give up her corporate job and run Pretty Cactus full-time as a shop and online store. Donna now works with a team or growers and distributors in the UK and Holland to source plants, trying, where possible to get hold of more unusual cacti, succulents, and houseplants. The Pretty Cactus shop has become an inspirational hub for plant lovers near and far who love to visit the store for ideas, plants, pots, and a bit of friendly plant chat, too.
