Paul Thomas X Robson Stannard: With Love and Flowers

Still looking for the perfect flowers for the big day? Not finding any that suit your special someone? Well, Paul Thomas Flowers have you covered

Exclusively for St. Valentine’s 2021, Paul Thomas Flowers have collaborated with British artist and illustrator Robson Stannard to provide you with a limited edition bouquet wrap and notecard, ensuring your chosen Valentine’s has an amazing and unique gift.

Taking some inspiration from the expansive and beautiful landscape Suffolk has to offer, the design involves some gorgeous flowers and is influenced by the natural romance that February, and St. Valentine, brings round every year.

While some may be disappointed that we will all be celebrating Valentines Day from home, Paul Thomas Flowers are determined to still make the day as swoon-worthy as can be, the playfully romantic design features a cheerful palette of cerise and red, which is sure to bring a smile on the recipients face, and the accompanying notecard can also be framed as a memento of your special day- whatever it may bring!

Designer Robson Stannard

Designer Robson Stannard graduated from the London College of Fashion with a degree in Fashion Illustration in 2017. Since then, he has won commissions from the likes of Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio, where he was appointed as Artist in Residence for Paris Fashion Week’s AW18 season. Stannard’s work has been featured by publications including Wonderland, Dazed & Confused and recently as part of ‘300 Objects’ – the lead exhibition for London Craft Week 2020.

Stannard’s work has predominantly explored the human form in relation to fashion through an abstract, illustrative style and using a variety of media. More recently however, his subject matter has broadened, incorporating floral themes inspired by his walks in the countryside during lockdown, which can be seen in this original Valentine’s Day design.

Stannard said: “I began to paint flowers during the lockdown, moving in a new artistic direction. I used acrylic paints, coloured pencils and china markers to create a layered illustration of a flower in my abstract approach, which has been printed as a limited- edition bouquet wrap and notecard to complement the Paul Thomas collections.”

Paul Thomas Founder & Creative Director, Paul Thomas-Jefferys said: “So many of us have found a new love of nature recently during the lockdowns. This was certainly true for Robson and it has been wonderful to see how, through his art, he expresses his new-found love of flowers.”

The Paul Thomas x Robson Stannard packaging can be selected at checkout to wrap any bouquet ordered for delivery in February, while stocks last- be sure to order soon to avoid disappointment!
