EYO:
Affordable and Ethical – Activewear That You Can Feel Good About!

The latest fashion trend isn’t a seasonal colour or a must-have style: It’s the concept of sustainable fashion and ethical clothing. The textiles industry is wreaking havoc on the environment between the processes to make clothing and the waste when it gets tossed, so brands and consumers alike have taken a much-needed interest in improving these issues.

After years of designing for fast fashion companies in London and New York, Ipswich designer, Lucie Halley, has seen firsthand what unsustainable fashion looks like, and she wanted out! Inspired to create a change in the fashion industry, she knew that she wanted to build a brand she was proud of – one that matched her personal morals and wasn’t creating waste. This meant creating high-quality, timeless garments that were built to last for years, not months.

All of the fabrics are made using Econyl® which is 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from discarded fishing nets and other nylon waste that would be discarded into our oceans and landfills from around the world. It performs exactly the same as brand new nylon and it can be recycled, recreated and remoulded again and again. That means you can create new products and buy new products without ever having to use new resources.

To package each order, EYO use biodegradable bags that are compostable and earth-friendly, biodegradable acid-free tissue, and recycled paper hangtags that can also go into the compost pile or in your recycling bin!

For EYO, it’s not just about sustainability, but about promoting good ethical practices and fair wages too. The activewear is made in Bali at a factory that pays their employees at least double the minimum wage. Staff also receive double wages for overtime, free medical insurance and fresh healthy cooked meals for lunch every day.

Hats off to you Lucie!
