DJV Boutique – Embracing Change!

There’s never been a better time for us to unite and focus on re-igniting our community networks. Whether it’s to check on the well being of others or committing to support a local business – together we can make a difference!

During lockdown, we started planning ahead to meet the increased demand in online shopping. As stock wasn’t as readily available at the time, we reacted fast to launch DJV online Gift Cards as a convenient go-to gift idea, safe and simple to send electronically.

It’s definitely been bittersweet for us over the past few months as we entered our 8th year of trade at DJV Boutique during the lockdown. Although our celebrations were cancelled we still feel privileged in reaching our 8th anniversary in such unprecedented times!

Once we re-opened in June our top priority was to ensure that the boutique was COVID-Secure. Firstly, we changed operationally to limit the number of customers entering and we also introduced a personal shopping appointment service, dedicating 30 minutes in-store with a member of staff.

We’re fully operational online and implement orders daily. Our customers can buy fashion favourites from French Connection or choose from other exciting options available in fashion, bags, jewellery and accessories. We can accommodate delivery or click and collect options – as it’s our job to make your life simple!

The big lessons learned so far are that we must keep innovating. For example, we’ve hosted many successful fashion events over the years and further adapting to change – we recently launched our first ‘virtual’ fashion showcase. We used professional models and videographer to achieve this and published it online. This is the way forward for us following on from the success of the first one.

Despite being as innovative as we can, as a small business we still have a high-dependency on local support to enable us to keep our doors open in such volatile circumstances and appreciate all those who continue to shop with us!
