October Events @ Two Sisters

Two Sisters Arts Centre opened in the redundant church of St Marys, Trimley St Mary on April 2019, the culmination of a number of years of hard work by Suzanne Hawkes to bring a performing arts space to the Felixstowe peninsula.

Run by volunteers – its remit is to facilitate all forms of performing and visual arts. The aim is very much to be a community resource – so a number of groups use it to rehearse – and there is a platform for local groups who wish to use it. We recently started a youth group on a Saturday morning, and an Improv course on a Monday night – and there is a regular Poetry Night and Folk Night once a month.

We also have a variety of professional events scheduled so that the local community can experience quality musicians and theatre practitioners without having to travel long distances or pay high prices.

We have a licensed bar and a car park and audience members can book tables in a cabaret-style to make the experience as comfortable and covid safe as possible.

There are a number of events coming up in October including:

Sunday 17 at 3pm:  Coffee & Cake with The Saints Community Band (tickets only £5 on the door)

Friday 22: The start of our Maritime Weekened with a double bill of shanties from The Felix Stowaways, and storyteller Justine de Mierre with The Mermaids Song (£10)
