EJaRt Creative-Gallery Shop, Studio and Showcase

EJaRt celebrated their first anniversary at The Black Barn, Hasketon in July this year and what a time they have had!

Business owner Emma, had been operating Mobile Ceramic Workshops all over Suffolk for some 12 years prior to this and took the exciting opportunity to expand her business, by moving her Studio into this beautiful tranquil setting. The new space allowed room for an Exhibition Gallery and Shop filled with her own beautiful work, a careful selection of East Anglian artists and more.

You will find The Black Barn, just off the A12, near Woodbridge in Suffolk with plenty of parking. With modifying the remaining space to hold a range of Workshops for all ages and abilities, supported by a Team of Experienced Tutors they have successfully expanded the range of classes over time. Be sure to check out the new online gallery, shop and workshop bookings.

When COVID-19 hit us with the lockdown, the business had to temporarily close. This was a bitter blow to their plans, but were able to fill the days preparing the already planned online shop, offering a greater range of art and materials than could be displayed in the Gallery. The shop includes artists work, art and craft materials, tools, taster kits and gift sets.

After browsing through the store, if you still do not know what to buy that special someone, then you can always purchase a Gift Voucher to use for gifts or workshops instead.

EJaRt Creative Workshops Continue as “COVID Secure”. Emma told us “creativity is so important for everyone’s well being, so as lockdown eased, following Government Guidelines, we set about our risk assessments, ordering screens and PPE supplies, and re-opened again on 1st August 2020: just after our 1st Anniversary”.

Having taken steps to ensure visitors and staff safety, EJaRt soon gained their “Good to Go” certification from Visit England, and are open now Wednesday – Saturday only. Workshops are in full swing again, although limited in numbers.

The new online booking system, and details of each workshop are now available on the website and so easy to use. Go to Workshops – Bookings, then once you have chosen, just click on the booking button. When the PayPal secure payment goes through, you will receive a confirmation for your booking. As places are now restricted in numbers, please be sure to book early to avoid disappointment. If you prefer to book in person, please email or call into The Black Barn during opening hours to make your card payment.

For those of you who are not keen to venture out, you may wish to join for an Online Workshop, simply get in touch and a member of staff will happily sort something for you.

Also available are plenty of art and craft supplies, takeaway taster kits and tools, available from the online shop, for you to use at home, so feel confident to “Let the Creativity Flow”. You can access all this through the web page, please have a look as new things are being added regularly.
